We just recieved Erica's mission call!!!! We get to open it tonight when everyone is at home and I am very excited! Valene said that it was very thick.... maybe too thick to be in the states....?

Erica is coming home from her mission on Friday, February 19,2010. I am really excited to see her again and I'm really proud of her!

It's been such a long time since I've even thought about my blog. I looked it up and read the things I've written, and I realized how much life has changed for me, but how awesome my life still is! I am truly blessed with amazing family, friends, work, and everything in-between. I've always liked anniversaries, marking time and looking back at what's happened. I love that my parents have now been married for 30 years, that I've lived in my new house for 2 years, and that Erica and I have just had our 3 year anniversary of going through the temple. We celebrated by doing a temple session together and it was a beautiful experience. I'm so grateful for my family's influence of bringing me back to church and the direction these choices have led me. I am so much happier doing what is right. I hope that someday I will be able to go to the temple with a wonderful man and have an eternal family of my own.

I just wanted to say I'm sorry that I haven't updated my blog in a long time! So much has happened since last time. Erica is in Ohio and she seems to be doing great, still adjusting to life there, but still great! Mom has had some problems. She was diagnosed with breast cancer (just in time for breast cancer awareness month... ) She had surgery on Monday and seems to be doing okay. She's in a lot of pain but she has really good doctors taking care of her. We found out that the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes so she will have to do chemo and radiation. We have a lot of adventures coming up with that. I was pondering the other day how you don't pay attention to things until they effect you or someone you love personally. I didn't really ever pay attention to breast cancer until my mom was hit with it.... now I care about it. We've been really blessed along the way. There are so many things to be grateful for. Thanks for all your prayers and support...
